How do you high raters deal with disconnecting?

What is the deal with disconnections? Play a game or ten, I disconnect. It really is discouraging. I mean, I can usually make my mentally acceptable score of 7300, but then I disconnect in some 4-player game and bam, I'm back in the minors. Oh well, I guess it keeps me sharp...having to build up my score over and over again.

I just wonder how the really high rated players handle this?

Oh, and if you read this cosmonaut, I wanted to play more games with you that night, but you guessed it...disconnect. Actually, it said you disconnected. Meh

Once I was at 7790 or thereabouts, and got disconnected against 3 people below 5500. It put me around 7200. Needless to say I was not happy.

Still, I live with it, because I have no choice.

Stable connections help a lot... I don't think I've ever had a disconnect that went against me with one exception... When my telephone rings. It seems that if you have a wireless phone between you and the WAP (or nearby at least) that can interrupt it just long enough to be a problem.

I've had luck lately with the internet not disconnecting me. I managed to pull by score up quite a bit!
