Stick to the system

I was playing online the other day and came across cosmonaut. Great player, and we worked out a system for playing that worked quite well. We were in a 4-player match against two lower rated players. After the first guy was eliminated, we would target the second low ranked player, leaving us to battle it out for the win.This makes sense to me, not only because you aren't pissing the high ranked player off by obliterating his score (having lost to lower ranked players), but because the next game, that player has a higher score in which to leach points from.

Unfortunately, MrBond, not everyone thinks that way. I like the idea, but many want to "get" the higher ranked player so that they can take a huge fall. This is especially true when I play someone who has a higher rank than I do. Oh well.

As I high rated player, I am baised, but I think targeting lower ranks is better. Then, if you screw up, you only lose to the higher players, and don't lose as many points. I'm used to being targeted though, you kinda expect it after a while, and play defensively, and pick off the opponents one by one.
I definitely recognise the name - I'm almost certain that I've played you at some point. Are you British?
